MKG engineering and assembly expertise

The MKG Group designs and constructs photovoltaic systems. Since 2004, MKG has installed power plants with a total output of over 1600 MWp worldwide. During this time, have developed far beyond the current market level, so that we can offer to our customers even more technical possibilities and greater economic benefits. Today, our range of services includes:

  • Consultation on power plant designv
  • Power plant planning: soil analysis, 3D layout, DC and AC-planning
  • Installation: post ramming, drilling and excavation, installation of substructure and solar modules, plus electrical
  • Development and distribution of our own mounting systems

Corporate development

Karl Göbel founded the company in Öhringen, Germany in 1999. At the beginning, the main focus was on the installation of windows and glass facades. After the first PV roof system (2004) and the first solar park (2005), the company grew rapidly: by 2009, numerous solar parks had been built throughout Europe by up to 150 employees.

Out of this extensive practice, Karl Goebel and his team developed their own mounting system with a unique, patented adjustment disc. The first solar park based on the GMS (Ground Mounting System) was built in Boxberg (D) in 2010. Shortly afterwards, the activity was expanded to include the construction of fence systems and earthworks (cable trenches). Since then, these business areas have been continuously expanded; technical development and practical application go hand in hand. At the same time internationalization took place.

MKG is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001. The further training of our employees in the MKG Academy supports the continuous improvement of the quality level.

Team

At the MKG headquarter in Öhringen, a young, committed team develops our construction projects, refines the GMS assembly systems and is the first contact person for our customers. Our site managers have their basis for work preparation here. At the second location in Öhringen is our warehouse with the machinery and workshops.

In total more than 100 employees belong to the MKG team, distributed over the various assembly teams and offices.
